Transcending all religion and all time,
Here stands the law of reciprocity;
Eternal truth in words it is sublime,
Gleaned plainly and through virtuosity.
Observed by noble king and common fool,
Led by our own example do we show
Directly how we live The Golden Rule,
Expecting back the things which we bestow.
Now, don’t expect all others to comply;
Remember, each man lives this law as well.
