Thank You O Lord for this fine day,
though sun or rain it’s all okay.
Today will glorify Your name,
the heavens, earth and stars proclaim.
The sun shines forth its heat and light,
the moon’s reflection glows at night.
The clouds float by in one parade
sometimes with rain and wind displayed.
Rocks and trees and mountains tall
rejoice in You who’ve made it all.
And all that live, both man and beast
display Your Glory undecreased.
Large and small, You made it all,
it was created ere Adam’s fall.
The only thing You did not make
was sin caused by one man’s mistake.
It grew and prospered on the land,
in man’s own heart and in his hand.
Destruction, sickness, murder, too
was born of sin and not by You.
And as it took one single man
to bring on sin, You had a plan
to right the wrong that Adam made;
You sent your perfect Son who paid
the price for sin with His pure life.
He suffered, bled and bore all sin
unto the cross and died therein.
Of all You’ve done, God, this is best,
for Jesus rose and passed the test
so that we all can make a choice
to follow Him and thus rejoice.
Where there is Jesus, hope is there,
it’s such Good News we must all share.
Thank You O Lord for this fine day,
though sun or rain it’s all okay.
Today will glorify Your name,
the heavens, earth and stars proclaim.
