6-24-14 Be Not Ashamed (a Sonnet)

Proclaim your faith in Christ to all you meet,

And share with no remorse your love for Him.

When asked what you believe don’t be discrete,

Say ‘Jesus Christ’s my Saviour to the brim.’

Be not ashamed that you accept what Jesus gives,

And how you know that He did die for you.

Pronounce with joy Christ rose and now He lives

To sit beside the Father’s throne anew.

You may be persecuted unto death

For your belief in Jesus, God’s own Son,

But praise His name unto your final breath

And greet with joy your mission here is done.

Be not ashamed that Jesus is your King;

Tell all the world that He’s in whom you cling.
