7-3-14 Delight (a Sonnet)

Your will is my delight, O Lord above!

Each waking is a trek through Your desire!

I stroll through the sweet garden of Your love

And feel Your spirit’s power draw me higher.

Dear Abba, Your instruction rests within

The inner sanctum of my eager heart.

I see at once the way I should begin

And move with confidence right from the start.

I surely know Your voice and heed Your call

Because I long to please Your ev’ry wish.

My God! This child of Yours does give my all,

And with Your happiness will come my bliss!

This ecstasy can’t help but overflow

Into the world around me with Your glow.
