2-20-16 Last Chance

⁶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, ⁷ Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Revelation 14:6-7 KJV

Behold! Those great and fearful days will come,

The tribulation of those left behind,

Without the Holy Ghost to then become

Convicted of the Truth as so defined.

The Gospel will be spread to everyone

In every tongue that dwells upon the earth,

Salvation by the blood of Christ the Son,

As God so loved the world to bring rebirth.

The choice must then be made to choose the Lord,

To worship Him that made the universe,

Or so remain among the heathen horde

And so be judged with death and even worse.

Fear God! The angel cried across the land,

Choose now behind which banner you shall stand!

12-25-15 Peace and Good Will

⁸ And there were in the same country shepherds abiding in the field, keeping watch over their flock by night. ⁹ And, lo, the angel of the Lord came upon them, and the glory of the Lord shone round about them: and they were sore afraid. ¹⁰ And the angel said unto them, Fear not: for, behold, I bring you good tidings of great joy, which shall be to all people. ¹¹ For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. ¹² And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. ¹³ And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, ¹⁴ Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.

Luke 2:8-14 KJV

As lowly shepherds watched their flocks by night

The angel of the Lord shown suddenly,

And glory shined about the shepherds bright,

And they were so afraid from all that they did see.

“Fear not,” the angel said to calm their fright,

“Good tidings do I bring, great joy to all!

The Savior Christ the Lord was born tonight!

He’s swaddled in a manger plain and small.”

Then there appeared a multitude forthright,

A host from heaven praising God to say

“To God’s the glory, all to Him outright,

And peace on earth, good will toward men to stay!”

Those shepherds were the first to hear the news.

Such humble men in spirit Christ pursues.

REMEMBER: God took on a human body to bring peace and good will to the world through His inevitable sacrifice.

8-22-15 Come See

⁵ And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye:

for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

⁶ He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Matthew 28:5-6 KJV

Imagine Mary’s fright that Sunday morn

When she arrived to see the Master’s tomb.

She thought that she would visit there and mourn;

Instead she was to see an empty room.

The guards lay as if dead upon the ground,

And there an angel sat upon the stone,

As bright as lightning, patient and profound

To say that Christ is risen, come be shown.

To know that He has risen from the dead!

He took with Him the bulk of all our sins,

And rose just three days later like He said,

And if we just believe new life begins!

Come see the empty tomb where Jesus lay.

He conquered death and hell upon that day!

7-21-15 Angels in the Wings

Are they not all ministering spirits,

sent forth to minister for them who shall be heirs of salvation?

Hebrews 1:14 KJV

Oh child of God, you’ll never be alone,

Though all your friends and family depart.

When dark despair has gripped you to the bone,

There is an angel working on your heart.

He ministers to you when you are down,

Sent forth by God to comfort and restore.

When all the world conspires to make you drown,

An angel’s called to pull you back ashore.

The presence of the Lord is with you now,

And there are angels waiting in the wings.

When grief and pain descends upon your brow,

You’ve got the help you need from where love springs.

Oh child of God, know Jesus lives within,

And angels serve to minister therein.

040515 That Moment When

The guards beside the tomb were fast asleep;

The world itself was still, holding its breath,

Anticipating something great and deep

That it had never seen in life or death.

The morning sun was just a tick away;

The birds and crawling things stopped on their own,

When suddenly a brilliant light gave way;

An angel came and rolled away the stone.

Just then the morning sun’s first ray appeared

And shined into the tomb upon His face.

His eyes were open, linen cloth was cleared.

He stood then walked away from that dark place.

O Jesus, to be there that moment when

The angels ministered to You just then!
