7-25-15 Least in the Kingdom

Whosoever therefore shall break one of these least commandments, and shall teach men so, he shall be called the least in the kingdom of heaven: but whosoever shall do and teach them, the same shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven.

Won’t have a job for long to be enrolled.

If you’re a Christian teach the Christian way:

You meet the Father only through the Son. *

To tell that other ways to God’s okay

Will find that in the end you’ve come undone.

The least of God’s commandments should be kept;

Don’t break one and then teach that this is good,

For if you do, you’ve really overstepped;

The least belongs to you, as well it should.

It’s bad enough that you should go astray;

It’s worse if you lead others on that way.

7-22-15 With All Your Life

This is my commandment,

That ye love one another, as I have loved you.

The world is filled with malice, hate and scorn,

And every day is darker than the last,

But don’t despair, it is not time to mourn,

Just love your fellow man despite his caste.

The Savior loves you more than you can know,

He died for all your sins upon the cross.

If you love one another you will grow

To better understand His pain and loss.

If you show love to everyone you meet,

And give without a thought of some return,

The love of Christ in you is more complete,

And love begets more love with less concern.

This is the Lord’s command, that you should love

With all your life, as Jesus has above.

3-23-15 Abide in Me

You are the branch, I am the vine, you see.

If you would bear good fruit, Abide in Me.

You seek the truth, the truth will set you free.

If you would know the truth, Abide in Me.

Love God with all you have, we both agree.

Just call on Me and I will hear your plea.

To have whate’er you ask, Abide in Me.

You must keep My commandment, that’s the key.

The way to Heaven has just one decree:

To walk the streets of gold, Abide in Me.

I am the way, the truth, the life to thee.

To rest within My arms, Abide in Me.

2-11-15 Simply Said

If you keep God’s commandments it will tell;

Let love for others grow until it’s whole;

Believe in Jesus, friend, and He will dwell,

His Spirit and His Love within your soul.

Put faith in Christ as Saviour and your King,

And as you go like Him you’ll grow to be;

In servitude, and with compassion bring

The gospel of salvation’s guarantee.

So as you dwell in Christ and He in you,

His Presence will be known within your heart.

There will be no denying this is true:

He’ll guide your way and never will depart.

            Remember God’s commandments simply said:

            Believe in Christ, His Son; give love widespread.

1-30-14 Obedience

Obedience is crucial as a child

Who does not have a full awareness yet,

As such maturity will get him riled

Then later to be filled with some regret.

But if he does the things that he is told

By those who really want him to evolve,

He’ll take the Lord’s commandments to uphold

In love to God and from his own resolve.

But he that doesn’t care to thus obey

The rules of his own parents or his God

Will lack the skills of life and then fall prey

To Satan’s will whose way is wide and broad.

Obey the smaller things when you are young,

And you will climb with ease the highest rung.
