1-1-16 Please Let Him In

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

The hour is late; don’t let Him pass you by!

Please let Him in; He’s who you’re looking for!

The beating of your heart means He’s nearby!

O sinner, hear Him calling out your name!

Do you not recognize your Savior’s voice?

Please let Him in; you’ll never be the same!

Just open up your heart and you’ll rejoice!

O sinner, Jesus died that you might live!

When He was on the cross He thought of you!

Please let Him in with all His love to give!

Don’t let another moment pass you through!

O sinner, drink with Christ His cup of bliss!

Please let Him in! Eternity’s His kiss!

3-10-15 One Spirit One Body

When you let Jesus rule your heart and mind,

Accepting Him as Savior, King and Lord,

And so in faith believe His Love defined,

His blood was shed for you, your sins deplored.

The Holy Spirit washes over you,

And who you used to be is dead and gone;

You’re born again, regenerating new,

Now one within His Spirit to live on.

The body’s compromised of many parts,

Each doing what is needed for the whole;

The blood of Jesus beats within our hearts,

Enabling us to seek the unsaved soul.

Oh friend, believe that Jesus died for you

And drink the Spirit’s cup – be born anew!

2-6-15 Call for Strength

When voices round you say it can’t be done,

And Satan whispers ‘Give it up, you fool!’

When both your legs are screaming that you run,

Then call for strength from God and keep your cool.

Sometimes it feels that you should just give up,

Just let go of your hope and walk away,

And even Jesus asked to pass the bitter cup,

But call for strength from God and don’t dismay.

Now God was there when Noah built the ark,

And He told Moses how to part the Sea;

The Lord was there when Paul dared make his mark.

Just call for strength, He’ll be there, just you see.

Just trust in God and harken His commands;

You can’t go wrong when God strengthens your hands.

9-12-14 My Cup Runneth Over

Now through the valley on to open plains

I follow in the shadow of my Lord.

Though evil wants to tie me up with chains

He makes a feast for me before the horde.

My faith consumes the sacred bread and wine,

While Satan stands defeated once again,

And grace anoints my head e’en while I dine;

No longer do I serve the likes of men.

My Saviour do I praise forever more!

This cup of joy will always overflow.

His Presence makes my blissful spirit soar,

And where He leads is where that I must go.

My enemies do watch and gnash their teeth;

My Shepherd’s love surrounds me like a wreath.
