6-26-15 Obedience

³ If ye walk in my statutes, and keep my commandments, and do them;

⁴ Then I will give you rain in due season, and the land shall yield her increase, and the trees of the field shall yield their fruit.

Leviticus 26:3-4 KJV

There’s one true guarantee of your success:

Salvation comes when you accept God’s Son.

No other way will free you from this mess

Resulting from the sin we all have spun.

Obey the Lord in every way you can;

The scriptures and the Spirit show the way.

Be sure that He will bless you in His plan;

You’ll get just what you need from day to day.

Your tears may fall like rain in seasoned strife,

But they increase the yield of later joy.

By following the Savior in this life

The seeds of love bring fruit you will enjoy.

If you will walk the way of God’s commands,

The crops you plant today will soon be grand.

6-25-15 Every Thing

In every thing give thanks:

for this is the will of God

Give thanks unto the Lord for everything!

Without His grace then nothing would exist.

The fact that you’re alive is cause to sing!

Each time that you inhale, that air God’s kissed.

No matter what the scene, have gratitude.

Your bus breaks down in route? Meet someone new.

If you hate what you eat, thank God you’ve food.

If you drive off a cliff, enjoy the view.

With Jesus as your Savior you are blessed,

For home is where the Lord wants you to be.

Your very life is gratitude expressed,

So share the Word with everyone you see.

In every thing give thanks, this is God’s will

In Jesus Christ concerning you, fulfill.

4-19-15 Go Your Way

Now, go your way and eat your bread with joy,

And likewise drink your wine with merry heart!

Such words we’d love to hear and thus enjoy

When we approach the gates of Heaven’s start!

Then after such a long and weary life,

To hear that God’s accepted now our works,

No mortal aches and pains, no longer strife,

Eternal rest in Heaven with its perks!

O let me hear those words when I am gone

Away from all these trials and tragedies!

The Savior’s arm around my shoulders drawn

And said with such a love I’m now at ease!

Now, go your way, and eat and drink in bliss,

Well done, my faithful servant, grace is this!
