12-12-15 Made Whole

made whole

And Jesus went forth, and saw a great multitude, and was moved with compassion toward them, and he healed their sick.

Matthew 14:14 KJV

~~~~~~~~~~~
As Jesus went He saw the multitude;
Compassion moved within Him like the tide.
He knew the many reasons they pursued,
But they all wanted what He had inside.
With bodies sick and broken, some for years,
They shared a common need, a common goal.
He healed them all and took away their fears.
If you’ve been touched by Jesus you’re made whole.
One healing brought another miracle:
When people saw His power they believed.
He taught them greater things through parable,
And one by one the Kingdom they received.
Christ knows that you need healing; He’s the One,
The Doctor of your soul, the Father’s Son.
8-03-15 Through Faith in Christ
desert walking
1 A Psalm of David:
LORD, who shall abide in thy tabernacle?
who shall dwell in thy holy hill?
2 He that walketh uprightly, and worketh righteousness,
and speaketh the truth in his heart.
Psalm 15:1-2 KJV
~~~~~~~~~~~

When God came down to earth as Christ the man,

He showed you just how righteousness should be.

He walked uprightly, taught the Father’s plan

And spoke the truth, that it can set you free.

Though all these works are possible to do,

You must with faith believe in Jesus Christ,

That there upon the cross He died for you,

 Your sins He took and then was sacrificed.

Repent, and give Him all your heart and soul,

And claim Him as your Savior, King and Lord.

The Holy Ghost will lead you toward the goal:

Eternal life in Heaven there restored.

The righteousness you work through Christ fulfilled.

Through Him is victory; you’re glory filled.

5-10-15 The Glory of God

glorify god

Whether therefore ye eat, or drink, or whatsoever ye do,

do all to the glory of God.

1 Corinthians 10:31 KJV

            ~~~~~~~~~~~
God’s glory is the end of all His deeds;
The fact that you are here is proof of that.
You count on Him for all your wants and needs,
He always knows exactly where you’re at.
Acknowledge God in everything you do,
For by His Grace and Mercy you are here.
When Jesus walked the earth He always knew
God’s glory was the goal to persevere.
You glorify our God in Jesus’ name,
When you do anything with Him in mind.
Your love in deed and word gives God acclaim,
And when you share the gospel love’s refined.
Give glory to the Lord with every prayer;
Give glory when you breathe His precious air.
2-24-15 Profit and Loss
Profit and Loss
A business man will tell you in a flash
The bottom line is profit for success.
Without this benefit his store will crash,
Then customers and workers would distress.
What profit will it be upon a man
To gain the world but lose his very soul?
He’s here because his Maker has a plan:
To save the world through Jesus is His goal.
If you take all the money on the Earth
And stack it to the sky like Babylon,
You could not climb to Heaven with its worth;
But give your life to Christ and you’ll be drawn.
The key to your success rose from the dead.
He calls you now to eat the broken bread.
~~~~~~~~~~~

For what shall it profit a man,

if he shall gain the whole world,

and lose his own soul?

Mark 8:36 KJV

2-5-15 Eating with Sinners

jesus-with-sinners unknown artist

The Savior came to Earth with one real goal,

To save us sinners from our helpless state.

In order for the Lord to make us whole

He had to sit with us and share our plate.

If Christ had wanted, He’d have climbed the throne

And saved His people from the Roman rule,

But He had bigger plans, to thus atone

For all our sins upon the cross so cruel.

So here He was, our God, the great I AM,

Receiving sinners in His company.

He lived among us as the perfect Lamb;

He gave His life for us to set us free.

If you surround yourself with Christian kind

How can you help the Savior heal the blind?

~~~~~~~~~~~
And the Pharisees and scribes murmured, saying,
This man receiveth sinners, and eateth with them.
Luke 15:2 KJV
1-23-15 On Righteousness
hunger-and-thirst-for-righteousness
You haven’t wanted righteousness enough
Until you thirst and hunger nigh to death,
Your limbs grown weak, your voice turned lean and rough
And righteousness as precious as your breath.
You argue that the times won’t stand for that;
You’d lose your job and end up on the street.
The cost of righteousness won’t leave you fat;
You won’t know hunger when you always eat.
This world’s a desert void of drink or food,
But there’s a well to slake the weary soul.
You cannot take a sip till you’re subdued
And righteousness becomes your only goal.
For few are chosen although many called;
To gain true righteousness one must have crawled.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst

after righteousness:

for they shall be filled.

Matthew 5:6 KJV

1-12-15 Dark Nights

dark night

A homesick ache will sometimes strike my soul,

A  tired longing from all earthly bonds;

Then there are moments when I doubt the goal,

A skepticism of the great beyond.

When faith grows weak, I turn to God in mind

In hopes that He will hear my weakened prayer,

And groan in spirit, feeling unrefined,

To save me from my anguish and despair.

Then quietly my pleas turn into praise,

A subtle shift from fear to gratitude;

With just a touch from Him my spirits raise,

My heart grows lighter, larger and renewed.

When melancholy brings me to my knees

I put my faith in Christ; He won’t displease

~~~~~~~~~~~
Why art thou cast down, O my soul?
and why art thou disquieted within me?
hope thou in God:
for I shall yet praise him,
who is the health of my countenance,
and my God.
Psalm 42:11 KJV
8-19-14 Commit Your Work
building-plans
No matter what you do from day to day,
The simple tasks that drives toward your goals,
Seek God for help in ev’ry single way
And let Him be the one that’s in control.
Cast all your cares to God for ev’rything,
In sustenence, support, supply and might,
And do your best with all your effort brings,
Then rest assured His will be done forthright.
When you’ve by faith and prayer done all you could,
Release your cares and know that God’s in charge.
He makes all things to work for what is good,
With all the loving grace He will discharge.
            Commit each seed you plant unto the Lord;
            The fruit at journey’s end is your reward.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Commit your work to the LORD,

and your plans will be established.
