3-28-15 Give Account

The final Judgment Day will come too soon

To those who did not think that it will be,

When every knee shall bow and tongue shall croon

With praises to the Lord for all to see.

Then we shall give account to Christ the judge,

Our secrets all laid bare before the Word,

The lustful thought, the hatred and the grudge,

The curse, the promise broken will be heard.

We’ll also be reminded of the good,

The helping hand, the love, the warm embrace,

The friends we led to Jesus when we could,

The times we were forgiving, full of grace.

We all will give account on Judgment Day.

It’s not too late: get right with Christ today!

2-10-15 Clearly

The wondrous power of our God is seen,

Invisible Himself beyond our ken,

But clearly known by nature’s noble scene

From supernova grand to simple wren.

But there are those who claim God can’t exist

Because He won’t provide a selfie shot,

Yet proof of Him is always in our midst;

It’s easier to say just what He’s not.

So when the Day of Judgment is at hand

And every knee shall bow before the Lord,

There will be no excuse that can withstand

The final resolution and reward.

You cannot see God sitting on His throne,

But all that He has made is clearly shown.

even his eternal power and Godhead;

1-7-15 I Look Unto You

My God! I know that You will hear my prayer!

You know how cold and grey the world can be,

With bitter blood and hatred everywhere.

I look unto You, Lord; please help me see.

My enemies encircle night and day;

They hate the light and love from You through me.

Forgive them now, they know not what they say.

I look unto You, Lord; please hear my plea.

No matter what the cost, I’ll wait for You;

One day You will return and set me free!

The promises You made are coming true.

I look unto You, Lord, on bended knee.

O God of my salvation unafraid,

The love I have for You will never fade.

9-6-14 Every Knee Shall Bow

 

Of all the things in earth and heaven’s realm

The name of Jesus resonates with pow’r,

And there’s no doubt He’s truly at the helm

To guide the will of God home ev’ry hour.

With reverence all knees shall bow to Him

Acknowledging His sovereign rule and reign.

The angels up above break out in hymn

And all the things on earth join the refrain.

And God exalts Him to the highest place

Where He belongs to rule forever more.

We all exist in Jesus Christ’s embrace

To rest within His heart that we adore.

            All things in heaven and all things on earth

            With honor bow to Jesus and His worth.
