2-4-16 Laying Our Foundation

rock

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Matthew 7:24-25 KJV

We all are building our eternal home,

And as you know location’s everything.

The world and all that’s in it is as loam,

And heaven is the rock of Christ our king.

The carpenter from Nazareth knows best

Where we should lay our home’s foundation base.

With His instructions we’ll be double blessed:

We’ll be entrenched between His love and grace.

When troubles come upon us like a storm,

And rain and flood and winds do beat and knock,

We’ll be inside with Jesus safe and warm,

For nothing can prevail against this Rock.

The rock of our salvation is in Christ.

Let’s build our home on Him and be sufficed.

REMEMBER: The foundation of your heavenly home is built by doing His commandments.

8-22-15 Come See

JesusTomb

5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye:

for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

Matthew 28:5-6 KJV

~~~~~~~~~~~
Imagine Mary’s fright that Sunday morn
When she arrived to see the Master’s tomb.
She thought that she would visit there and mourn;
Instead she was to see an empty room.
The guards lay as if dead upon the ground,
And there an angel sat upon the stone,
As bright as lightning, patient and profound
To say that Christ is risen, come be shown.
To know that He has risen from the dead!
He took with Him the bulk of all our sins,
And rose just three days later like He said,
And if we just believe new life begins!
Come see the empty tomb where Jesus lay.
He conquered death and hell upon that day!
7-14-14 Nowhere to Lay His Head
foxes
If you would follow Jesus Christ the King,
You must be willing to lose all you own.
The Son of Man on earth owned not a thing,
Though ev’ry living creature’s home was known.
The Saviour was as poor as man can be
So that you might be rich as God’s elect.
He had no place to rest His head, you see,
To show there’s nothing here you should expect.
Believe that God will give you all you need
As Christ conforms to you both heart and soul.
Eventually you’ll learn as you concede
That pillows and a bed are not your goal.
To be like Jesus, drop all worldly things
To give your life to Him and all that brings.
~~~~~~~~~~~~

And Jesus said unto him, Foxes have holes,

and birds of the air have nests;

but the Son of man hath not where to lay his head.

Luke 9:58 KJV
