12-4-15 Fount of Your Ways

For the work of a man shall he render unto him, and cause every man to find according to his ways.

FOUNT OF YOUR WAYS

If you are turning daily toward the One,

Your mind and words and hands reflect His love.

There is no question what His grace has done;

There is no doubt at all what you’re part of.

Good deeds themselves does not a good man make;

God knows the kind of water that you drink.

You may in all your works sure take the cake

But if you guzzle sin you still will sink.

Through grace you’re born in Christ, by faith you live;

Your acts, though meager, show a water pure,

And from this living fountainhead you give, ^{(John 7:38)}

And it will multiply and long endure.

God will not judge a man by works alone. ^{(Ephesians 2:9)}

The source of nourishment will soon be known.

6-30-15 In Truth and Deed

My little children,

let us not love in word,

neither in tongue;

but in deed and in truth.

1 John 3:18 KJV

To love with words alone is like a bowl

So finely made without a bite within.

A love with empty words soon takes its toll;

A promised rain will starve the flower thin.

An act of love speaks volumes by itself;

In service is the truth that can’t be told.

A dictionary sits upon the shelf;

The Living Word does miracles so bold.

To minister to others is sublime,

So do all that you can in truth and deed.

These words upon your screen is just a rhyme;

True poetry is helping those in need.

Enough with words! Your vocal chords can break.

The best love in the world’s the love you make.

5-21-15 Every Eye Shall See

Behold, he cometh with clouds; and every eye shall see him, and they also which pierced him: and all kindreds of the earth shall wail because of him. Even so, Amen.

Revelation 1:7 KJV

Then like a thief at night will Jesus come,

Surprising all but those who are prepared,

And all with eyes to see will then become

To know that He is here, His presence bared.

The dead in Christ shall rise from in the ground;

The righteous all will know and so rejoice.

The terror of His enemies abound,

And they will wail and weep as if one voice.

He’ll come to judge the quick and judge the dead,

Including those who harmed the ones He chose.

His presence in the clouds will make some dread:

The final days are coming to a close.

Oh, how magnificent that day will be!

The Savior will return for all to see!

3-30-15 Neither Fail Nor Forsake

I AM your God, and I will always BE,

I do not sleep, I do not slumber, too.

I watch a star evolve, I watch a flea,

I watch the universe; I’m watching you.

I will not fail you; you can count on Me.

I always keep the promises I make.

I know that life has its adversity;

I won’t abandon you when love’s at stake.

I did not leave when Adam fell from grace,

I never did forsake the prophets bold.

I was with Jesus til sin took His place;

I was with Him when death failed to take hold.

Relax, My child, You’ll never be alone

I AM your God, and you are all My own.
