6-10-15 Cast Your Burden

Cast thy burden upon the LORD, and he shall sustain thee:

he shall never suffer the righteous to be moved.

Psalm 55:22 KJV

Whatever you may have belongs to God,

And moreso if you gave your life to Christ,

Yet here you sit, this body roughly shod,

Bombarded by temptation’s daily tryst.

So cast your burden now unto the Lord.

Don’t let this moment pass with one concern.

He died on your behalf, His blood was poured,

So live with love for Him and all in turn.

Now, Jesus won’t endure your fall from grace,

He promised He would keep you safe from harm.

Let go of all the burdens you embrace

And fall into the Savior’s loving arms.

Release unto the Lord your laded pain;

He’ll lift you up, and you He shall sustain.

9-5-14 This Waiting Room

No matter what this world can throw at you

Salvation is the rock that shelters soul.

Your mind may wonder what is really true;

Your heart may break, unable to console;

Your body may rebel and grow so weak;

Your spirit may be troubled to the core.

Just wait upon the Lord, no need to seek;

No matter what you lose, He will restore.

God is your best defence, you can’t be moved;

Though you may grow bone weary, He will hold,

And by His Grace you have been blood approved.

Have faith, for God’s salvation He’ll uphold.

            This waiting room may seem to you depraved

            But once you see the Doctor you’ll be saved.

8-15-14 All Things Are Possible

A single ‘if’ prevents a miracle,

And lack of faith defeats what’s possible.

Such unbelief turns trust satirical

And makes the feasible impossible.

Your faith need not be large to do all things;

In fact, a faith in just yourself will fail.

Put all your hope in Christ your Lord and King,

For He makes things come true on any scale.

The Lord can help you with your unbelief;

Cry out to Christ, confess your doubts to Him.

A mustard seed of faith will bring relief

And fill your cup of love above the rim.

            A mountain can be moved into the sea;

            Put all your trust in Jesus, then you’ll see.
