2-4-16 Laying Our Foundation

rock

24 Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock: 25 And the rain descended, and the floods came, and the winds blew, and beat upon that house; and it fell not: for it was founded upon a rock.

Matthew 7:24-25 KJV

~~~~~~~~~~~
We all are building our eternal home,
And as you know location’s everything.
The world and all that’s in it is as loam,
And heaven is the rock of Christ our king.
The carpenter from Nazareth knows best
Where we should lay our home’s foundation base.
With His instructions we’ll be double blessed:
We’ll be entrenched between His love and grace.
When troubles come upon us like a storm,
And rain and flood and winds do beat and knock,
We’ll be inside with Jesus safe and warm,
For nothing can prevail against this Rock.
The rock of our salvation is in Christ.
Let’s build our home on Him and be sufficed.
REMEMBER: The foundation of your heavenly home is built by doing His commandments.
10-8-15 Name Above All
Jesus painting by Akiane Kramarik
2 For he shall grow up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we shall see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3 He is despised and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and we hid as it were our faces from him; he was despised, and we esteemed him not.
4 Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows: yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5 But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
Isaiah 53:2-5 KJV
~~~~~~~~~~~

No good can come from Nazareth, they said,

The lowly son of Joseph, carpenter.

He had no place to lay his weary head,

A man of sorrows, none we would prefer.

Despised and unesteemed, our grief he bore;

We hid our face from him and still we do.

He took the wrath of God as none before,

Was wounded for our sins, his blood soaked through.

Afflicted, bruised and beaten, he was hung

Upon a rugged cross between two thieves.

He died there with our names upon his tongue

And lives within all those who still believes.

His name will resonate forever more;

If you but think of Him, your heart will soar.

6-7-15 SHOUT!

shout

47 And when he heard that it was Jesus of Nazareth, he began to cry out, and say, Jesus, thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

48 And many charged him that he should hold his peace: but he cried the more a great deal, Thou Son of David, have mercy on me.

49 And Jesus stood still, and commanded him to be called. And they called the blind man, saying unto him, Be of good comfort, rise; he calleth thee.

50 And he, casting away his garment, rose, and came to Jesus.

51 And Jesus answered and said unto him, What wilt thou that I should do unto thee? The blind man said unto him, Lord, that I might receive my sight.

52 And Jesus said unto him, Go thy way; thy faith hath made thee whole. And immediately he received his sight, and followed Jesus in the way.

Mark 10:47-52 KJV

~~~~~~~~~~~
The Son of David passes by you now,
And though you cannot see you know it’s Him.
The crowd’s as thick as nature can allow.
Would you still call His name, though chance is slim?
You know that you’re not worthy of His time,
And even if you yelled He’d never hear.
So here you sit amid your sin and slime;
Would you still shout His name and persevere?
Then SHOUT and beg for mercy! SHOUT His name!
You may not ever get another try!
Ignore the crowd’s rebuke and SHOUT the same!
If Christ is all you need He’ll hear your cry.
He calls – you throw your cloak of sin away;
Put all your faith in Christ – you’ll see today.
5-19-15 Well Pleased
Baptism-of-Christ-by-David-Zelenka
9 And it came to pass in those days, that Jesus came from Nazareth of Galilee, and was baptized of John in Jordan.
10 And straightway coming up out of the water, he saw the heavens opened, and the Spirit like a dove descending upon him:
11 And there came a voice from heaven, saying, Thou art my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased.
Mark 1:9-11 KJV
~~~~~~~~~~~

When Christ emerged from Jordan full of love

The Heavens opened wide and He did see

Descending from the sky just like a dove

The Spirit came upon Him graciously.

Then God did say “You’re My Beloved Son,

In whom I AM,” He stated “so well pleased,”

And there the essence of the Holy One

Well marked His favor on the One appeased.

Beloved sister, now that Spirit’s Here!

O, my Beloved brother, He’s in you!

When you accepted Christ your Savior dear

You were baptized by Spirit through and through.

One day when you see Jesus face to face,

He’ll say God’s pleased with you with love and grace.

8-5-14 Condemned Already

condemned already

The farthest thing away from Heaven’s gate,

And all the sins that causes man most grief,

The one that brings him down and seals his fate

Is found within the roots of unbelief.

If you do not believe, the race is lost

Before the starting gun is set to fire.

In Nazareth the Saviour’s works were crossed

Because His home town branded Him a liar.

Give up your breath and surely you will die

Because your earthly body needs the air.

Refuse to have belief in Christ on high

And you will be condemned to your despair.

Believe in Jesus now! The moment’s here!

Your faith will make you whole and draw you near.

“…he that believeth not is condemned already…”

John 3:18 KJV
