2-9-16 Hear Hear

And he said unto them, Take heed what ye hear: with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you: and unto you that hear shall more be given.

Mark 4:24 KJV

Attend to all the teachings of the Lord,

For they’re designed to bring you home to God.

Be diligent that what you learn is stored,

Then share them with all men near and abroad.

The more that you distribute of the Word,

A greater portion of the Word’s revealed.

Attune your heart to living what you’ve heard;

You’ll find the harvest brings a greater yield.

The Holy Spirit leads you to the truth,

Then tells you what it means if you just hear.

You do not have to be a brilliant sleuth;

Just listen with your heart and all is clear.

The more you give the more you shall be given.

This economic lesson’s Jesus-driven.

1-20-16 Be Not Afraid

⁴⁸ And he saw them toiling in rowing; for the wind was contrary unto them: and about the fourth watch of the night he cometh unto them, walking upon the sea, and would have passed by them. ⁴⁹ But when they saw him walking upon the sea, they supposed it had been a spirit, and cried out: ⁵⁰ For they all saw him, and were troubled. And immediately he talked with them, and saith unto them, Be of good cheer: it is I; be not afraid. ⁵¹ And he went up unto them into the ship; and the wind ceased: and they were sore amazed in themselves beyond measure, and wondered.

When troubles come to push you off your path,

And if it seems you’re rowing ‘gainst the wind,

The struggle that you face in all its wrath

Might leave your efforts moot and you chagrined.

Look through the dark of night and see Me there!

I am not just a thought inside your head,

Not just some passing need when you despair,

Nor ghostly spirit filling you with dread.

Be of good cheer! Have courage! It is I!

Be not afraid, I’ve come to bring you peace.

I’ve been here all along, I won’t pass by.

I’m right beside you now; the wind will cease.

In life when conflict blows with its attack,

Be not afraid, my child, I’ve got your back.

REMEMBER: Even in the darkest of nights you will see Him near.

1-4-15 Do Not Fear

Such evil as the world has never known

Sweeps ‘cross the land like locusts sent from Hell,

But do not fear, for you are not alone;

The Lord is always with you, all is well.

They come with guns to take you in the night,

Or openly with laws corruptly made,

And persecute you with their words and might,

But God is in your heart, be not afraid.

Foul Satan knows his days are at an end;

He rushes round to take what isn’t his.

Be strong and of good courage, do not bend,

For God is here right now, you know He is.

The Lord will not forsake you, sister dear;

O brother, feel His presence, do not fear.
