And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved.

Acts 2:21 KJV

It’s not too late to call upon the Lord,

Though you’re not promised you’ll be here tonight.

Your body’s death is coming; you’ll be floored,

And then it’s just too late to get it right.

The final days are here as you well know:

The Spirit of the Lord on flesh is poured,1

Now prophesies and visions really flow,

And old men dream of things that once were stored.

Such wonders in the heavens oft explored,2

And signs upon the earth with blood and fire;

The sun grows dark, the blood moon’s not ignored,3

The Lord will soon return, His own acquire.

If you don’t know the Savior, Now’s the time!

Tomorrow might not come, but Now is prime!

9-13-15 At Hand

14 Now after that John was put in prison, Jesus came into Galilee, preaching the gospel of the kingdom of God,

15 And saying, The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God is at hand: repent ye, and believe the gospel.

The time was right, the prophesies fulfilled

To usher in the living God on earth,

And there was God Himself midst crowds that milled,

The perfect Son of Man of virgin birth.

He said with joy “I’ve got good news for you!

A liberation from Mosaic law!

Here’s peace and pardon and salvation, too!

Eternal life by grace, with love and awe!”

“Repent!” He said, “Your sins will I forgive!

Here’s all you have to do: Believe in Me!

I AM the Way, the Truth, My Life I give!

The realm of God’s at hand to set you free!”

If Jesus told you this, would you believe?

He sent me here to ask you to receive.

2-25-14 Father, Forgive Them

When Jesus had been beaten, scorned and mocked

Then hung upon the cruel and rugged cross,

He saw the crowd and soldiers as they flocked,

Those naive to this implicated loss.

Some did not know the evil they performed

To crucify the perfect Lamb of God;

So ignorant the prophesies performed,

They did what they were told with just a nod,

And even on the cross compassion swelled

Within the Savior’s faintly beating heart;

He called His Father where in Heaven dwelled:

Forgive them, they are unaware their part.

Such love that Jesus had unto the end

To intercede as our eternal Friend.

forgive them;

for they know not what they do.

And they parted his raiment, and cast lots.
