The mind of man keeps changing all the time,
For as his passions rise so does his will;
Man’s heart is prone to crawl and then to climb,
Then drag him to his doom to get it’s fill.
A man will hold belief until it bleeds
Then drop it like a rock for something new;
He wanders through the earth until he pleads,
Beseeching God to tell him what to do.
The counsel of the Lord is pure and whole,
To stand inchanged throughout eternity,
And when we yeild to God our heart and soul
And give our life to Christ, then we will see.
In love we’re made, in love we’ll cease to roam;
The drumbeat of God’s love still calls us Home.
There are many devices in a man’s heart;
nevertheless the counsel of the LORD,
that shall stand.
