1-1-16 Please Let Him In

Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me.

O sinner, hear Him knocking at your door!

The hour is late; don’t let Him pass you by!

Please let Him in; He’s who you’re looking for!

The beating of your heart means He’s nearby!

O sinner, hear Him calling out your name!

Do you not recognize your Savior’s voice?

Please let Him in; you’ll never be the same!

Just open up your heart and you’ll rejoice!

O sinner, Jesus died that you might live!

When He was on the cross He thought of you!

Please let Him in with all His love to give!

Don’t let another moment pass you through!

O sinner, drink with Christ His cup of bliss!

Please let Him in! Eternity’s His kiss!

6-4-15 You’re in Good Hands

My sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me:

And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish,

neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand.

He knows you, child, He calls you to His side,

Our Father, who gave you to Christ our Lord,

Is mightier than all and loves you so;

Secure within His grasp you’re safely stored,

Assuredly protected to and fro.

No matter what you go through while you’re here,

Remember in Their hands you’ve naught to fear.

9-9-14 Restoration

Conceived into a realm of sin and pain

There was no hope for me until His call.

I recognized my Shepherd’s telling strain,

Releasing my poor soul from evil’s caul.

Sometimes I leave the straight and narrow way,

Distracted by temptation’s bright allure,

And when I realize I’ve gone astray

My Shepherd then restores my soul for sure.

He turns me from the darkness into light;

His steady love revives me when I doubt.

Despite my roaming ways He sets me right

And through His grace my faith becomes devout.

            When He renews my spirit I become

            A bright example of His Kingdom come.
