2-20-16 Last Chance

⁶ And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, ⁷ Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Behold! Those great and fearful days will come,

The tribulation of those left behind,

Without the Holy Ghost to then become

Convicted of the Truth as so defined.

The Gospel will be spread to everyone

In every tongue that dwells upon the earth,

Salvation by the blood of Christ the Son,

As God so loved the world to bring rebirth.

The choice must then be made to choose the Lord,

To worship Him that made the universe,

Or so remain among the heathen horde

And so be judged with death and even worse.

Fear God! The angel cried across the land,

Choose now behind which banner you shall stand!

¹⁸ And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him.

WHEN PIGS DROWN

Possessed by sin, you wandered through the graves,

For all that did remain for you was death.

Your soul, enslaved by Satan, lived in caves,

Resigned to cut and run ’til out of breath.

When Jesus came the Holy Spirit called;

You gave your life to Him and called Him Lord.

Christ touched you as upon the cross you sprawled;

He saved you with His loving blood that poured.

Instead of staying ‘neath the cross so true,

The Savior bid you go to those you meet

To tell all what the Lord had done for you,

And all that hear will marvel so complete.

When all the pigs have drowned the Lord remains.

He lives within your heart, no more in chains.

8-2-15 Pass Away

Heaven and earth shall pass away:

but my words shall not pass away.

And no more need to make it ‘us’ and ‘them.’

His words forever stamped upon our hearts

For we’re His words in action to impart.

6-23-15 Heart Burn

To walk with Jesus while Emmaus bound,

And listen as He opened scriptures wide!

To hear Him speak the mysteries profound;

My heart ablaze with Jesus by my side!

Amazing as it was that awesome day,

How truly wonderful it must have been,

My soul still leaps with joy with such display,

Just knowing that His presence grows within!

Here dwells the Holy Spirit like a fire,

It burns with love I scarcely can contain!

The Savior speaks and fuels my one desire

To do the will of God and thus remain.

His fiery words are whispered in my ear,

And that’s the only voice I truly hear.

4-29-15 Light Upon Light

The scriptures tell us stories of the past,

But deeper looks reveal much more than that.

In Babylon the Jews were free at last,

Yet augured future times we can look at.

The Jews had wished that their Messiah come,

And many thought these verses prophecy,

Yet when the Light of God had scarce become,

They nailed Him hand and feet on that cruel tree.

And now we see a darkness cover Earth,

The sin that people carry darker still,

But Jesus is the Light to bring new birth,

His glory seen through those who do His will.

Arise and shine! The Lord will come again!

His Light now lives in you and will remain!

12-19-14 Chosen

When you were still a slave and doomed to death,

The Savior bought you with His very life.

He chose you for His own, your pulse and breath,

Ordained to follow Him through sweat and strife.

When you were Spirit-filled and born anew,

He showed you how to love and live and pray,

Then sent you out to search the whole world through

To find the lost before they slip away.

The souls that come to Him must be matured

To carry on the work He’ll have them do.

Whatever you’re in need of rest assured,

Just ask the Father, He will see you through.

Christ chose you, He ordained you, You are His,

A slave to Jesus now, and all He is.

7-23-14 I AM With You

The trials that you face most ev’ry day,

The hurt, distress and torments in your life;

So now you feel forlorn along the way,

And there will be no end to all this strife.

Be not afraid, for you are not alone;

I’m with you, precious child, forever more.

Have courage, I am here, you’re not unknown.

I have great treasure still for you in store.

I’m with you through your loss, your grief, your pain;

I’m whispering to you ‘This, too, shall pass.’

Be strong, beyond your struggles I remain

To carry you ahead through this impasse.
