5-6-15 Within

²⁰ And when he was demanded of the Pharisees, when the kingdom of God should come, he answered them and said, The kingdom of God cometh not with observation:

²¹ Neither shall they say, Lo here! or, lo there! for, behold, the kingdom of God is within you.

The King of Kings was standing in the midst

Of all the Pharisees both dumb and blind;

They looked for things to prove it did exist,

When proof was there amongst them so refined.

We search for His return among the signs,

No better off than Pharisees or Scribes;

He lives within us now, His richness shines,

Yet we’re still counting coins and taking bribes.

Try casting off the pictures in your head,

For they will get you lost most every time,

And keep your thoughts on Jesus now instead;

He lives within the servant’s heart sublime.

When Christ returns no man can ever know,

But here’s the Holy Spirit: let it grow.

2-17-15 My Redeemer Lives (An Acrostic Sonnet)

My Savior lives! Yes, my Redeemer lives!

You can’t deny it when He touches you!

Reach out to Jesus; He your sin forgives!
Each day you walk with Him you’ll know it’s true!
Descended from our Father Christ became
Equipped to be a servant unto death.
Embrace the Savior now – He knows your name.
Make Jesus your Redeemer with your breath.
E‘en though the worms may feast upon your flesh,
Rejoice! You will be resurrected soon.

Live now for Christ; when He returns afresh
In glory, you’ll arise and then commune!
Victorious in Jesus, have no fear!
Escape the bonds of death, your Savior’s here!
Surrender all to Him right now, my dear.

10-5-14 Be Ready

If Jesus comes today are you prepared?

If you have doubt at all then get that way!

Don’t waste another hour and think you’re spared;

He’ll be here any moment of the day.

If Christ’s blood covers you, resign your will

And let His love shine forth in word and deed.

Go out and save the lost, His work fulfill,

And follow God’s commandments though you bleed.

If you are waiting for some proof or sign

Before you give your heart to Jesus then,

This IS the proof, this IS the cue divine,

Don’t wait another second once again!

When He returns your heart will give a shout!

Be ready NOW! He’s near! Don’t be left out!
