His Fisherman

christian fish symbol

16 Now as he walked by the sea of Galilee, he saw Simon and Andrew his brother casting a net into the sea: for they were fishers.

17 And Jesus said unto them, Come ye after me, and I will make you to become fishers of men.

18 And straightway they forsook their nets, and followed him.
Mark 1:16-18

Engrafted child of God, look at yourself:

The light of Christ should shine from every pore.

When you were saved, you died to your old self.

You once were mute, now you must stand and roar!

Can’t you feel Jesus running through your veins?

With every pulse He bids you harvest souls.

The day grows short; so little time remains.

You’ve work to do to help Him reach His goals.

The day you dropped your nets to follow Christ,

You gave up all you had to be like Him.

He’s making you a fisher well sufficed

To cast the gospel wide with love and vim.

When you made Christ your Savior you began

To learn how to become His fisherman.

REMEMBER: You are an active participant in the Great Commission. Now get to work.

9-11-15 You Are Not Alone

you are not alone

The eyes of the LORD are upon the righteous, and his ears are open unto their cry.

Psalm 34:15 KJV

~~~~~~~~~~~
No matter where you go you’re not alone;
The presence of the Lord will see you through.
His eyes are on you now, His grace is shown:
The righteousness of Jesus dwells in you.
God’s eye of Providence: a blanket warm,
To comfort and protect you faithfully.
His eye of Love to see you through each storm,
A Father’s gaze upon His child set free.
He hears your cries within the tempest roar
When all the world is shouting out their sins.
He answers all your prayers and even more
Responds to every groan as it begins.
You put your faith in Christ upon the throne;
Now rest assured you’ll never be alone.
3-11-15 Acceptable
christ-enablement
So often times you feel it’s not enough,
Your prayers seem weak, your walk is not His walk,
You read the Word until your eyes feel rough,
And when the chance to witness comes you balk.
In times like these just call upon the Lord,
Be honest and admit you’re weak and lame.
Ask Christ for help and you won’t be ignored;
He is your strength, your Savior – praise His name!
Reach deep within, there’s gratitude in store,
Think of the sacrifice He made for you;
Your heart will swell and you will love Him more,
Then when you speak and act it will be true.
O Lord, I pray my words and thoughts are Yours!
There’s nothing you can’t do when Spirit roars.
~~~~~~~~~~~

Let the words of my mouth,

and the meditation of my heart,

be acceptable in thy sight, O LORD,

my strength, and my redeemer.

Psalm 19:14 KJV

12-04-14 Be Vigilant

angry-male-lion-1280x1024

My friend in Christ, no time to sleep this night,

For Satan prowls the Earth hollow and mean.

He hungers for the lonely sheep of light

Who wander through the shadows in between.

The devil stomps about and roars out loud;

So many prey around, no need to creep.

Be vigilant, my sister, don’t be cowed;

He seeks your sons and daughters as they sleep.

The perfect Lamb protects us with his blood,

But not all of our brothers are secure.

They squat a drunken stupor in the mud;

We must still try to save them, so endure.

Your adversary’s longing to devour,

A starved voracious lion this dark hour.

~~~~~~~~~~~~
Be sober, be vigilant;
because your adversary the devil,
as a roaring lion, walketh about,
seeking whom he may devour
1 Peter 5:8 KJV
