11-12-15 Lukewarm

lukewarm

15 I know thy works, that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would thou wert cold or hot.

16 So then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spue thee out of my mouth.

Revelation 3:15-16 KJV

LUKEWARM

If you’re to be a Christian, do your best!

Don’t claim to follow Christ but wander ’round.

Your Bible gathers dust while you attest

To study scriptures daily so profound.

You wear a sliver cross around your neck,

But gossip, cuss and lie for all to see.

You smile at church and tithe with some bad check;

You blew it all on Friday’s gambling spree.

It would be better were you ignorant;

At least a heathen knows just where he stands.

If you’re to be a Christian let’s be blunt:

You’d better ask for help; your time’s at hand.

It’s never good to be a lukewarm saint;

He’ll spew you from His mouth without constraint.

6-1-15 All For One – Part Two

holy ghost

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

12 For as the body is one, and hath many members, and all the members of that one body, being many, are one body: so also is Christ.

1 Corinthians 12:8-12 KJV

~~~~~~~~~~~
The Spirit gifts one saint with wisdom deep,
And gives another knowledge straight and strong.
The Spirit grants another faith to keep;
He knows just where His attributes belong.
The Spirit gives one pow’rs to heal the sick,
Another miracles to show the way.
The truth through prophecy to one He picks;
These gifts the Holy Spirit does convey.
He gives to one discernment of the heart,
Reveals the gift of tongues another speaks.
He then lets one interpret tongues apart;
They all are of one Spirit, but unique.
So many diff’rent members, though as one,
We all are of one body of the Son.
7-17-14 Rejoice!
rejoice
Rejoice, my friend! Again, I say rejoice!
The Lord is always with you, heart and soul!
Raise up a celebration with your voice!
Tell all the world the Saviour’s in control!
Rejoice though persecuted and distressed,
For great is your reward with Jesus now!
He died that you may be forever blessed,
And have salvation through His solemn vow!
Rejoice! With God’s Great Grace comes ecstasy!
Rejoice and spread the news across the land!
Believe in Jesus, gain serenity!
Christ is the way, the truth, the life at hand!
Rejoice, my fellow saint, we are so loved!
Rejoice! Rejoice, for we are God’s Beloved!
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Rejoice in the Lord always:

and again I say, Rejoice!

Philippians 4:4 KJV
