I’m just a lowly sinner bound for hell.

Your Holy Word tells me You love me so;

You showed Your love for me on Calvary.

To be Your child to love as You love me.

Just open up your heart and you’ll rejoice!

O sinner, Jesus died that you might live!

When He was on the cross He thought of you!

Please let Him in with all His love to give!

Don’t let another moment pass you through!

O sinner, drink with Christ His cup of bliss!

Please let Him in! Eternity’s His kiss!

7-20-15 Born Again

Jesus answered and said unto him,

Verily, verily, I say unto thee, Except a man be born again,

he cannot see the kingdom of God.

A birth into this world means tears and pain;

Your mother can’t forget nor you recall.

But when you come to Christ you’re born again,

A new creation free from Adam’s fall.

Now quickened by God’s Spirit through and through,

The blood of Christ has washed your sins away.

No longer bound by flesh you live anew,

A citizen of Heaven now to stay.

Admit that you’re a sinner, dead and lost,

That Jesus paid the price for all your sins.

Put all your trust in Him whate’er the cost

And you will be reborn – your life begins!

Drink deep the Word as milk, then eat as meat,

And watch the Grace of God make you complete.

1-18-15 Freed From Sin

When you accepted Jesus as your Lord

The sinner that you were was crucified,

That in your death the sin that God abhorred

Was left upon the cross and there reside.

With Jesus you were taken from the cross,

Then raised with Him a new creation born;

The old man’s life is counted as a loss

With all the law fulfilled the veil is torn.

For now so dead from sin you are then free,

And dead in Christ His love removed the stone;

Now Jesus as your Lord and Savior be,

And stepping from the tomb you’re not alone.

As Jesus took to death all earthly sin,

So you that died with Him new life begin.

8-16-14 Draw Nigh to God

Now who admits they are a hypocrite?

We think we all have got a goodly heart.

You seem so righteous when in church you sit

Then spit and swear as soon as you depart.

Draw near to God, you fake, now on your knees!

Don’t fool yourself in thinking that you’re not.

If these words pierce your soul like stinging bees,

Draw near to God, you’re worse than you once thought.

Now purify your heart with tears and prayer

And don’t give up till God draws near to you.

You must forget what others think or care,

And let the blood of Christ wash over you.

            If you let slip this warning, hypocrite,

            You’re telling God you’re good when you’re unfit.

7-27-14 The Doctor Is In

If you don’t think that you need Jesus now,

And you can get to Heaven on your own,

And all religion’s hogwash anyhow,

That there is nothing you need to atone,

Then go ahead, the Saviour’s not for you.

Your righteous attitude is yours to keep.

He came to save the brokenhearted few,

The poor in spirit wretches, and lost sheep.

Why seek a doctor when you think you’re well?

You’ve got no need of healing anyway.

But you’ve a cancer driving you to hell:

Its name is sin; it’s killing you today.

The Holy Spirit’s telling you you’re sick;

You need the Great Physician Jesus quick!
