When you walk into a room and turn on a light switch,
you know without a doubt that it will work.
Unless something’s wrong, you will have light.
Hope does not think; the evidence is in favour of illumination.
When you sit on the pre-dawn porch drinking your morning coffee,
listening to the birds awaken as you gaze toward the East,
you know the sun will rise.
Unless clouds cover the sky, you will see proof of the sun’s arrival
before it raises its head above the horizon.
Hope is intuitive, and the sun proves this right without fail.
When you breathe, you know there is oxygen to inhale
although you do not see it.
Hope is automatic; there is plenty of air just waiting for you.
This, my friend, is faith.
Faith is not believing something will happen;
it is knowing it will.
Throw doubt out the window and have faith in God.
Know for a surety that His plan is perfect
even… no, especially if it isn’t the way you wanted.
There is plenty of it to go around.
