8-30-15 Have Faith in Him

And he said unto her,

Daughter, thy faith hath made thee whole;

go in peace, and be whole of thy plague.

Mark 5:34 KJV

It isn’t faith alone that saves the sick,

For if it were we’d all be sound in health.

The gospel of success is just a trick

To take up all your time and all your wealth.

There are no magic words to make you whole;

The name it and then claim it crowd are wrong.

It’s Jesus Christ Himself that cures the soul;

The Son of God alone can make you strong.

There is no guarantee that you’ll be cured;

The grace of God sometimes is all you need. ¹

Put all your faith in Christ and rest assured

You’ll be at peace and whole with Him indeed.

Reach out in fervent faith that Christ is real.

Believe that He alone can save and heal.

6-26-15 Obedience

There’s one true guarantee of your success:

Salvation comes when you accept God’s Son.

No other way will free you from this mess

Resulting from the sin we all have spun.

Obey the Lord in every way you can;

The scriptures and the Spirit show the way.

Be sure that He will bless you in His plan;

You’ll get just what you need from day to day.

Your tears may fall like rain in seasoned strife,

But they increase the yield of later joy.

By following the Savior in this life

The seeds of love bring fruit you will enjoy.

If you will walk the way of God’s commands,

The crops you plant today will soon be grand.

2-11-15 Simply Said

If you keep God’s commandments it will tell;

Let love for others grow until it’s whole;

Believe in Jesus, friend, and He will dwell,

His Spirit and His Love within your soul.

Put faith in Christ as Saviour and your King,

And as you go like Him you’ll grow to be;

In servitude, and with compassion bring

The gospel of salvation’s guarantee.

So as you dwell in Christ and He in you,

His Presence will be known within your heart.

There will be no denying this is true:

He’ll guide your way and never will depart.

            Remember God’s commandments simply said:

            Believe in Christ, His Son; give love widespread.

8-17-14 Faithful is He

There is none faithful more than God above;

The promises He makes He always keeps.

If you believe in Jesus Christ with love,

Eternal life is yours with joy so deep.

Your sins are washed away, He guarantees,

When you surrender all to Christ the King.

By answering His call forever seize

A sanctified reward so anchoring.

Be still, hear God so softly call your name,

And with a grain of faith pursue that voice.

Your life from then will never be the same;

God’s faithfulness is reason to rejoice!

            His Holy Spirit leads you to the Son,

            And cleansed with Christ’s pure blood salvation’s won.
